These gardens occupy a large leafy site on the slopes of Victoria Peak, easily accessible on foot from Central or Admiralty. The gardens are divided equally between zoological and botanical exhibits. A stroll or rest in these gardens is the perfect getaway to refresh oneself. In the zoo section there are orangutans, gibbons, monkeys, lemurs, and some large reptiles including a Burmese python, a species native to Hong Kong. The gardens, like a great number of the best attractions in Hong Kong, are funded by the government and free to the public.
