Hailing from Taiwan, Din Tai Fung is a speciality xiaolongbao #143 and noodle restaurant. Excellent, high-quality food is produced here behind glass walls, which allows the customer to observe the preparation and cooking process. Besides xiaolongbao, everything here is delicious, including some of the best egg fried rice, noodles with minced pork sauce), starters of wood ear mushrooms, tofu and seaweed and one of the best hot and sour soups in town. The xiaolongbao contain pork or crabmeat and cost a lot more than local offerings, but are worth it for the superb flavour. Consistency is flawless here and each dumpling is individually weighed. Great food at any time of day, Din Tai Fung was awarded one Michelin star in Hong Kong in 2010. They also have locations at Yu Garden Hub #249 and Shanghai Centre #042.
